Blalock Meats Are all Natural
We guarantee no growth enhancing steroids, antibiotics or hormones have been used. All of our animals are raised locally in North East Georgia and Western North Carolina. Here in the Appalachians we are guaranteed fresh mountain air, clean mountain streams and unpolluted rain. This all goes to ensuring the grass that our Angus beef herds graze on and the water they drink are some of the cleanest in the USA. If you start with the best grazing, you end up with the best meat!
The location of our farms and the farms we source from means that the travel time is reduced to a few hours instead of days. This means less stress on our animals and a naturally tenderer cut of meat.
Prior to processing our cattle are fed grain to even further add tenderness and that all important marbling that ensure a succulent great tasting steak or roast.
After processing our beef is dry aged for 14 days in our own aging facilities her on the farm. This allows time for some moisture to evaporate leaving a richer, beef flavor and allowing natural enzymes to assist in the tenderizing process.
Farm To Table
Blalock Meats owns and operates 4 farms in North East Georgia and Western North Carolina and the majority of our Angus beef comes from those farms or if not, from our neighbors farms.
This is the classic interpretation of “Farm To Table”. Locally grown meats that are born, grazed, processed, sold and eaten locally. For locals and by locals.
All of our beef is bred to be tender and full of flavor. Because our beef is local we can monitor the grain feeding prior to processing and because the majority of our cattle comes from our own farms, we have can introduce the best breeding and raising practices. We also buy beef from local farms in the NEGA and WNC area and work with the farmers to ensure their beef meets the exact same high standards that we impose on our own stock.

As with our beef, our pigs are locally raised and processed at our facilities in Rabun Gap.Our hogs are all natural and are free of all hormones, antibiotics and steroids.
Whether you are in the mood for ribs, thick cut pork chops or a Boston Butt, Blalock meat can provide you with the finest cuts of pork available anywhere.

Planning a party or just having the extended family around for a special celebration, our hogs are available in whole or half pigs and can be cut to your specifications. Just give us a few days’ notice and it will be all ready to pick up when you are ready to start cooking.
As with our beef, our lamb is locally raised and processed at our facilities in Rabun Gap.
Our lamb is all natural and is free of all hormones, antibiotics and steroids.
Any time of year is perfect for lamb shanks, whole leg of lamb or my personal favorite, lamb cutlets (Try them breaded….amazing!!!)
